AC Milan and Bologna Compete for Leicester’s Caleb Okoli

Caleb Okoli is set to leave Leicester City after their relegation from the Championship. Serie A sides Bologna and AC Milan have both expressed interest. Bologna have made the strongest approach, while Milan have made quiet enquiries. The former Italy U-21 defender joined Leicester from Atalanta in 2024. He still has four years left on his contract, but Leicester are unlikely to block his return to Italy. This season Okoli featured in 29 league games, scoring once and providing one assist.

Do you think Okoli would thrive better at Milan's camp with those quiet enquiries, or will Bologna's stronger approach seal the deal?

I agree, Milan's patient approach seems ideal for Okoli to build confidence at his own pace.

What exactly do you mean by Milan's low-key scouting? Are you referring to negotiation style or long-term planning?

It's interesting that Milan remains cautious while Bologna pushes hard, but quiet enquiries often mean deeper interest behind the scenes.

I'm not convinced championship relegation automatically makes a player unsettled enough to leave; clubs also need to fit his style and development plans.

Given his age and defensive versatility, a move to a stable Serie A side with regular playing time could accelerate his growth more than prestige alone.
