Campus Rules Update: 23 Items Banned at Covenant University in 2026
Covenant University has released its list of 23 items banned from campus in 2026. The policy aims to maintain discipline, safety, and a values-based learning environment. Raw food and cooking appliances—hot plates, rice cookers, microwaves, refrigerators and similar devices—are prohibited to prevent fire hazards and unauthorised cooking. Hard drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, guns, bullets and other weapons are strictly forbidden. Entertainment devices such as TVs, DVD/VCD players, gaming consoles, phones and SIM cards are barred to minimise distractions. Certain clothing materials (jeans, chinos, corduroy, “diabolic materials”), condoms, kerosene lamps, candles and goods for sale also appear on the list. The university reserves the right to update this contraband list at any time. This measure reflects Covenant University’s commitment to safety, discipline and a focused academic environment.
