OK Movement Slams Tinubu’s Spokesman Over Peter Obi Critique

Adefolaseye Adebayo, Southwest Coordinator of the OK Movement, has taken aim at President Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga. He criticised Onanuga’s recent post comparing Peter Obi unfavourably to an APC presidential hopeful. Adebayo argued that a government spokesperson should promote Nigeria’s credibility abroad, not “relentlessly attack” a former candidate who remains influential. He warned Onanuga that history will remember him for his role in spreading propaganda rather than for positive communication. The dispute follows Onanuga’s claim that some aspiring presidents lack the courage to face party primaries. Adebayo insists the real assignment has been to undermine Mr Obi’s reputation instead of highlighting electoral transparency.
