Port Harcourt Dealer Alleges TikToker Faked ₦85m Mercedes-Benz Gift Video
A Port Harcourt car dealer has accused TikToker Barbie Nelly and her boyfriend of falsely presenting a Mercedes-Benz C300 as a Boyfriend Day gift online. The dealer said the man contacted the dealership about the vehicle and later arrived with Barbie Nelly for an inspection. He alleged that she began recording content inside the car while negotiations were still ongoing. Although the couple reportedly said payment had been made, the dealer said no bank alert was received and the vehicle remained at the dealership after it closed. He said he was later surprised to see videos of the car online, presented as a gift. The dealer also alleged that the couple had attempted a similar stunt elsewhere, and urged anyone who sent them money or gifts over the post to reconsider. The C300 is still listed for sale at ₦85 million. The allegation has renewed discussion about social-media pressure and luxury content. The dealer's claims represent one side of the dispute and have not been independently verified.
