Customer Demands Fair Payback After DHL Damages ₦305,700 UK Shipment
A Nigerian customer says DHL Express failed to safely deliver a fragile item to the UK after charging ₦305,700. The package left the Ilorin office with a promise of extra protective packaging but arrived damaged. In a public Facebook post, the customer shared photos, videos and receipts to support the claim. DHL initially blamed improper packaging and offered just ₦25,000 then ₦50,000 in compensation—far below the shipping fee and value of the item. The customer proposed that DHL liaise with the original vendor to replace the item and collect the damaged one. Despite this, DHL has stopped responding to follow-up emails. He says the ordeal has been stressful and simply wants a fair resolution.
