Crayon Opens Up on 2022 Mental Health Battle Amid Industry Pressure

Nigerian singer Crayon recently revealed that he struggled with mental health issues in 2022. Speaking on a livestream with content creator Carter Efe, he said pressure from family and the music industry pushed him into a long hospitalization and therapy. He explained that the stress of meeting expectations and trying to stay number one took a heavy toll on his well-being. “In 2022, I had mental health issues from all sort of stress… I was hospitalized for a long therapy session,” he shared. After his recovery, Crayon returned to drop the singles “Labalaba” and “Overloading,” marking a new chapter in his career.
