Tinubu Invites Plateau Governor to Abuja After Jos North Attack

President Bola Tinubu has invited Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang to Abuja for high-level talks following the recent attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North. At a press briefing, Information Minister Mohammed Idris offered condolences to victims and outlined swift security responses. Troops under Operation Enduring Peace secured key routes, launched search-and-clear operations and enforced a 48-hour curfew in Jos North. The Federal Government stressed that these actions form part of a broader strategy to stabilise Plateau State and the North-Central region. Citizens have been urged to remain calm, cooperate with authorities and await further updates after the scheduled meeting.
