A Memorial of Love: Reflecting on the Communion of Jesus

Scriptural Meditation for April 2, 2026 "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." (1 Corinthians 11:25) Jason Adeyemi had never received a birthday gift until his friend Dare, battling leukemia, presented him with a phone on his 17th birthday. Three months later Dare passed away, but Jason kept the gift’s carton as a lasting tribute to his friend’s kindness. When Jesus shared bread and wine at the Last Supper, He invited His disciples to remember His sacrifice. The Communion symbolizes His body and blood and reminds us of God’s ultimate love and desire for eternal fellowship with us. Prayer: Lord, help me to remember Your sacrifice at Easter and to honor Your love every day. Amen. Soibi Versatile is the founder of Jesus Community Network.
