Why Do My Serious Relationships Collapse When I Mention Marriage?
I’ve been told by more than four unrelated people that I should never tell a woman I intend to marry her. At first, I thought it was about not making empty promises. But every time I meet someone I genuinely like and hint at marriage, she pulls away. Before that, I can easily have casual flings or light flirtations. Even married women sometimes get close, but I never cross the line. I also attract women looking for something casual, while those I want something serious with seem uninterested. I’m now over 40 and this recurring pattern has left me unsettled. What could be causing this?
