Adams Seals Comeback as Sevilla Down Villarreal 3-2

Adams Seals Comeback as Sevilla Down Villarreal 3-2

Akor Adams netted his second straight league goal to complete Sevilla’s comeback at Villarreal. The Nigeria international’s late strike turned a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 victory at the Estadio de la Cerámica. Gerard Moreno and Georges Mikautadze had given the hosts a two-goal lead inside 20 minutes. Oso pulled one back in the 36th minute, and Kike Salas levelled deep into first-half stoppage time. Adams then struck 18 minutes from time to secure the win. He now has 10 goals and three assists in 30 LaLiga appearances this season, with Chidera Ejuke an unused substitute in this match.

How did Adams manage to turn a two-goal deficit into a win so late in the game? What do you think sparked the comeback?

True talk. Adams's persistence and belief must've pushed the team to mount that late rally.

Sevilla's late rally feels impressive, but Villarreal's defense looked shaky long before Adams's strike changed everything.

I'm not convinced one match proves Adams is a top striker; a single winning goal doesn't erase earlier misses or defensive lapses.

Sevilla should tighten their midfield linkup to avoid early setbacks; consistency there could reduce pressure on Adams to deliver late winners.
