Ex-Kaduna Governor El-Rufai Rearrested by ICPC After Attending His Mother’s Burial

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai was taken back into custody by ICPC officials after being granted administrative bail to attend his mother’s funeral. He appeared today before the Kaduna State High Court and the Federal High Court in Kaduna. The Federal High Court has adjourned his bail application hearing to Wednesday. According to local reports, the ICPC action comes despite the court’s earlier decision to grant him temporary release on compassionate grounds.
