FG Launches Free Business Name Registration Portal for 250,000 MSMEs

The Federal Government has opened a portal to offer free CAC business name registration to 250,000 micro, small and medium enterprises nationwide. This initiative aims to boost entrepreneurship by removing the cost barrier for formal registration. To register, create an account on the SMEDAN portal and verify your email. Complete your personal and business profile, then submit your application to receive a SMEDAN Unique Identification Number (SUIN). Use the SUIN to finalise your free CAC registration and download your certificate once approved. You will need your National Identification Number (NIN), valid phone number, active email address, proposed business name, business address and a brief description of your activities. Spaces are limited, so apply as soon as possible.
