Troops of the 25 Military Intelligence Regiment, working with hybrid forces, have arrested a 51-year-old man suspected of serving as an ISWAP informant at the Damboa Internally Displaced Persons camp in Borno State. The suspect was arrested on August 10, 2026. Preliminary investigations allege that he helped move civilians, particularly women, from the camp into the bush to meet suspected terrorists. He is in the custody of the 25 Brigade headquarters as investigations continue. Operation HADIN KAI is also working to identify possible accomplices and disrupt terrorist support networks in the Damboa axis.
