Desmond Elliot Quits APC Primaries, Cites Intimidation of Supporters

Veteran actor-turned-lawmaker Desmond Elliot has officially withdrawn from the Lagos State House of Assembly APC primaries. He says repeated threats and harassment of his backers made it impossible to contest fairly. In a statement from his campaign office, Elliot urged party officials to probe the alleged intimidation. He warned that such tactics undermine the democratic process and called for transparency in the remaining selection exercise.
