Can Financial Comfort Prevent University Students From Making Risky Choices?

I used to think that giving daughters comfort, good housing and financial support would make them less vulnerable to men offering the bare minimum. My 18-year-old neighbour has just started university, and her parents rented and furnished a comfortable apartment for her. Her mother told me they wanted their first daughter to have the best. Soon after she moved in, she also bought her an air conditioner. I admired the parents' effort, especially because many students and working adults still share apartments to reduce costs. But within a week, I noticed that her boyfriend had begun visiting and staying over for days. Seeing this made me wonder whether parents can ever fully protect their children from making risky choices, no matter how much love and provision they offer. I am tempted to alert her mother, but I also know it may be wiser to stay out of a situation that is not mine.
