Oyo Vice Principal’s Plea for Rescue in New Kidnapping Video
Fresh distress footage shows Mrs. Alamu, vice principal of Community High School in Oriire LGA, Oyo State, appealing for help after being abducted alongside students and staff. She says armed attackers struck on Friday around 9:30am, seizing a “good number” of pupils, teachers and administrators. In the video, she begs the Federal Government, Governor Seyi Makinde, the Christian Association of Nigeria and well-meaning Nigerians to intervene before lives are lost. The raid targeted multiple schools, including Baptist Nursery and Primary in Yawota and Community Grammar/LA Primary in Esiele. The Oyo Police Command confirmed the abduction and reported that an assistant headmaster and an okada rider were killed. Security forces, led by the state’s police commissioner, have launched intense rescue operations. Additional officers are being deployed and nearby schools are being reopened following the deployment.
