Galatasaray to Sign Lesley Ugochukwu from Burnley in €30m Deal
Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have agreed to sign Nigerian-born midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu from Burnley. The package is reported at just under €30 million, with formalities set to conclude soon. The 22-year-old joined Burnley from Chelsea last summer and spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Southampton, gaining valuable Premier League experience. He originally emerged from Stade Rennais’ academy and impressed in Ligue 1 before his move to Chelsea in 2023. Ugochukwu’s strength, athleticism and composure will boost coach Okan Buruk’s midfield as Galatasaray prepare to defend their domestic title and compete in the UEFA Champions League next season.
