In December 2025, Alex Otti assured us that he had activated a strategy to secure Nnamdi Kanu’s release. Four months later, Kanu remains in prison. Since that media briefing, neither Otti nor any other South-East governor has given a public update. It feels like empty promises. If Kanu were Yoruba or Fulani, he wouldn’t still be on trial.
