Davido Hits Pause on Music to Pursue Master’s Degree in the UK

Music star Davido will begin a Master’s in Political Science at a UK university next year. He says he will pause new music releases until he graduates. He already holds a Bachelor’s from Babcock University and an honorary doctorate from Clifford University. His decision follows a rising trend of Nigerian celebrities returning to academia. Others to recently earn degrees include Mercy Eke (MBA from the University of Sunderland), Ubi Franklin (Law degrees from Boston University and the University of Essex), Regina Daniels (Psychology in Mexico), Jide Awobona (Master’s after 15 years), as well as Juliana Olayode, Wumi Toriola, Jumoke Odetola, Lola Margaret, Akeem Adeyemi and Fuji Maestro.
