The party’s recent screening exercise disqualified several serving lawmakers from state and national assemblies, fueling tensions. Senator Ipalibo Banigo addressed supporters in Degema LGA. She appealed to national leaders to review the decision and warned of further action if grievances remain unresolved. Dr. Legborsi Yamaabana, a disqualified House of Assembly aspirant, said he is consulting grassroots supporters. He vowed to contest the election on a different platform if the party does not reverse its decision. The state APC publicity secretary has urged both winners and losers to close ranks. He stressed that primary victories do not guarantee general election success and highlighted existing mechanisms to address grievances.
