Dele Momodu: Buhari’s 2015 Team to Propel ADC Against Tinubu in 2027

Dele Momodu: Buhari’s 2015 Team to Propel ADC Against Tinubu in 2027

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, says the group that delivered Muhammadu Buhari’s 2015 victory is ready to back ADC’s candidate in the 2027 presidential race. He named Nasir El-Rufai, Abubakar Malami, Atiku Abubakar and Aminu Tambuwal among those in this “gang.” In an Arise News Morning Show interview, Momodu declared Atiku Abubakar as his preferred choice for the ADC ticket. He stressed that winning requires tested strategy, drawing on his role in Buhari’s campaign rather than mere popularity or noise. He warned that Bola Tinubu is formidable and urged the ADC to target regions where former Buhari allies feel abandoned. Momodu believes that if Atiku leads the ticket, the North-East will unite behind him, reshaping the 2027 contest.

It's interesting that figures from different parties are uniting under ADC. I wonder if this coalition can really challenge Tinubu's popularity.

Past alliances under Buhari's team often fell short of expectations. Betting on them now seems a bit risky if we want real change.

Before 2027, citizens should review ADC's platform alongside Tinubu's agenda to make an informed choice based on policies and past performance.
