The Federal Ministry of Youth Development and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture have launched the Youth in Agribusiness Land Trust Fund. The scheme aims to unlock land access for 500,000 young agripreneurs and provide financing, enterprise development and market linkages. Backed by First City Monument Bank and other partners, the initiative was unveiled in Abuja on June 1. The Minister of Youth Development described it as a major step in positioning agribusiness as a key driver of youth empowerment and economic growth. Through training, technical support and technology-driven financing, the fund seeks to foster innovation along the agricultural value chain. Stakeholders from government, finance, development agencies and youth networks pledged to collaborate in building a more inclusive agricultural future for Nigeria.
