Mercy Corps Ventures Backs Logidoo to Revolutionize West African Trade Routes
West Africa produces abundant food but often pays more for imports due to weak logistics. Roads, goods and demand exist, but reliable connections across borders are missing. Senegal’s Tamsir Ousmane Traoré founded Logidoo to bridge this gap. The platform uses a fifth-party logistics model combining a freight marketplace, merchant integrations, last-mile delivery and trucking aggregators. It focuses on key corridors like Casablanca–Dakar and fills return trips with farm produce to cut costs. Mercy Corps Ventures has now invested in Logidoo to strengthen trade infrastructure across French-speaking North and West Africa. The company has onboarded over 3,000 providers, completed more than 100,000 operations and serves 400 clients in Senegal, Morocco, Côte d’Ivoire and Tunisia. Improving these corridors will help farmers reach markets, reduce post-harvest losses and boost intra-African trade. As regional supply chains become more reliable, communities will benefit from stronger economic growth and climate resilience.
