Understanding Iseegun: An Ifa-Based Explanation
Iseegun, as I understand it through Ifa, is a traditional practice associated with Osanyin. It involves using natural materials created by God for purposes such as healing and spiritual work. The process is said to require selected ingredients, often sixteen, and the participation of sixteen respected experts believed to possess ase. Taboos and other spiritual conditions may also be determined before the work begins. After a sign is received, the experts are given substantial gifts. The practice is believed to remain effective while at least eleven of the experts are alive, provided that all the required ingredients are complete.
