USA Beat Bosnia 2-0 to Reach World Cup Round of 16 Despite Balogun’s Red Card
The United States topped their group with six points and faced Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup. Balogun was later sent off, becoming the fourth player ever to score and receive a red card in a World Cup knockout match. Despite playing with ten men, the USMNT doubled their lead from a Tillman free kick in the 82nd minute. They held on to win 2-0 and will now face Belgium in the Round of 16.
