Osimhen Omitted as Chelle Names Ndidi, Iwobi and Lookman in 23-Man Squad for Iran and Jordan Friendlies
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will travel to Antalya for friendlies against Iran and Jordan after the fixtures were moved due to the Middle East conflict. They meet Iran on Friday, March 27 at 4 pm local time, then face Jordan on Tuesday, March 31 at 8 pm. Coach Eric Chelle has named a 23-man squad for both matches. Captain Wilfred Ndidi leads the midfield alongside Alex Iwobi and Frank Onyeka. Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze and Paul Onuachu headline the attack. Maduka Okoye and Greece-based Adeleye Adebayo are between the posts. Three newcomers earn their first call-ups: defender Emmanuel Fernandez, forward Philip Otele and Collins Yira Sor. The squad also includes established defenders like Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Zaidu Sanusi.
