Abuja Police Arrest Five in Major “One Chance” Robbery Syndicate Bust
The Nigeria Police Force has arrested five suspects believed to be members of the notorious “One Chance” armed robbery group operating in Abuja. The gang is accused of targeting unsuspecting commuters, seizing over ₦33 million in cash and valuables, and allegedly killing two victims. Operatives of the Special Tactical Squad from the Force Intelligence Department carried out the coordinated operation following months of intelligence gathering and surveillance. Arrested were the alleged leader, Solomon Haruna Abok (“Solex”), and four associates who have since confessed and identified other collaborators. Recovered evidence includes a blue Honda used in the attacks, an operational knife, and blindfold materials. Police say investigations are ongoing as they pursue additional leads to dismantle the network and bring all culprits to justice.
