Shielding Gbajabiamila Stokes Public Suspicion, Atiku Warns

Shielding Gbajabiamila Stokes Public Suspicion, Atiku Warns

Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has criticised the government’s defence of Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila over the PFIPC allegations. He argues that attempts to downplay the controversy have only fuelled public distrust. Atiku called for full transparency and urged that all claims be investigated impartially and according to law. He warned that hiding facts will only raise more questions. The Presidency maintains that the PFIPC is not a recognised agency and denies any wrongdoing by Gbajabiamila. It describes all reports linking him to illegal activities as false. The matter remains under investigation with no court verdict yet. Do you think allegations against public officials should be independently probed before drawing conclusions? Share your views respectfully.

While transparency is vital, we can't ignore that some accusations might be politically motivated and lack verifiable proof.

A clear next step is publishing all inquiry findings and allowing independent auditors to verify the PFIPC inquiry timeline.
