World Cup Upsets: Haiti and Türkiye Crash Out After Brazil and Paraguay Wins

World Cup Upsets: Haiti and Türkiye Crash Out After Brazil and Paraguay Wins

Haiti’s campaign ended in Philadelphia as Brazil secured a 3-0 victory. Matheus Cunha opened the scoring before doubling the lead, and Vinicius Jr added a third deep into stoppage time. Haiti finish bottom of Group C with no points and a –4 goal difference. In San Francisco, Paraguay stunned Türkiye with a 1-0 win thanks to Matias Galarza’s strike after just 64 seconds. Despite a late Paraguay red card, Türkiye failed to level and are eliminated after two defeats. Both sides now face dead-rubber finales in their groups, with Haiti meeting Morocco and Türkiye taking on Australia in matches that have no impact on the knockout race.
