Uche’s Brilliant Trivela Wins UEFA Conference League Fans’ Goal of the Season

Christantus Uche has been voted the UEFA Europa Conference League Fans’ Goal of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign. His award-winning strike came in Crystal Palace’s 2-2 draw with Finland’s KuPS Kuopio. Uche collected the ball just outside the box, skipped past his marker and curled a sublime trivela beyond the goalkeeper into the net. The Nigeria international’s goal topped a public vote ahead of Shakhtar Donetsk’s Isaque Silva and Rayo Vallecano’s Florian Lejeune. It was also one of two goals Uche scored during Palace’s triumphant Conference League run. On loan from Getafe, the 23-year-old impressed in Europe despite a second-half absence from Palace’s squad. He made 14 Premier League appearances without registering a goal or assist.
