Okpebholo Urges New Edo Assembly Leaders to Prioritise Unity and Dialogue
Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has urged the new leadership of the Edo State House of Assembly to prioritise unity, humility, transparency and teamwork. Receiving the new Speaker, Yekini Oisayemoje Idaiye of Akoko-Edo Constituency I, the governor said lawmakers should set aside personal differences and work together in the interest of Edo residents. He advised the House to resolve internal disagreements through dialogue rather than on social media. Okpebholo also urged legislators to remain active in their constituencies ahead of future elections. Idaiye pledged the Assembly’s support for the governor’s administration and said the new leadership would work to stabilise the House.
