Ex-Kwara Commissioner Urges Diaspora Support for Community Security Efforts
A former Kwara commissioner has urged members of the Kwara State Association of Nigeria in North America to support efforts to address insecurity in the state, especially in Kwara South and Kwara North. He said diaspora residents could contribute funds, equipment and logistics to community security initiatives, while also supporting traditional rulers and local resilience programmes. He added that military operations had intensified, forest guards were being deployed across local governments, and a new Nigerian Army battalion had been established in Omu-Aran as part of the security response.
