Fake PFIPC Director Scrubs Online Presence as Forgery Charges Loom

Adeniyi Adeyemi Mathew has deactivated his social media accounts and personal websites after the presidency accused him of forging an appointment letter and posing as director-general of a non-existent agency. Official checks reveal his main Facebook page and related websites are offline just as an eight-count forgery and impersonation case is filed against him at the Federal High Court. He faces up to 21 years in prison on multiple charges. Previously, Adeyemi’s profiles promoted the disputed “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council,” its Pre-Summit Dinner, and a planned World Investment Summit. Government records show budget allocations, CBN accounts, and office space were arranged before the agency was exposed as fake. Adeyemi denies the allegations and insists he will prove his innocence in court.

What possible motives could drive someone to fabricate a whole agency and then vanish once confronted?

I'm on the same page—maybe it was a chase for easy riches or some spotlight, until things caught fire?

It's telling that his entire online presence disappeared only after official forgery accusations came to light.

Authorities should strengthen verification processes before approving high-level appointments to prevent similar deceptions.
