Police Drag NYSC Corps Member in Ado-Ekiti, Sparks Public Outrage

A video circulating on social media shows uniformed police officers forcibly pulling an NYSC member in front of a school in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. Two other corps members stand by as onlookers record the incident. An eyewitness, who filmed the event, condemned the officers’ actions in Yoruba. He questioned their authority and challenged them when they tried to seize his phone to stop the recording. It remains unclear what offence, if any, the corps member committed. Many Nigerians have criticised the officers’ conduct and urged that such incidents be documented and exposed.
