NSCDC Cracks Down on Badagry Human Trafficking Camp, Rescues 17 Victims, Arrests Four Foreign Nationals
The NSCDC Lagos Command uncovered a camp in Torikoh, Badagry linked to human trafficking, fraudulent marketing and unlawful detention. Four suspects—three Togolese and one Beninese—were arrested, and 17 victims were rescued. According to the command, the operation followed a complaint from a nurse from the Central African Republic. He said he was lured via Facebook, forced into a QNET scheme and deprived of his phone, power bank and SIM cards. Agents seized an HP laptop, QNET letterheads, phones, leather bags, pharmaceutical items and rejected bribe money of 130,000 CFA. Investigators say the syndicate charged up to 650,000 CFA for registration and ran four other camps in Badagry. The NSCDC warns traffickers and fraudsters to desist. Further probes are ongoing to unmask collaborators, seal the camps and bring all responsible parties to justice.
