Publisher of Igbo Times Issues Public Apology and Retracts False Stories About Governor Soludo

I am the owner and publisher of Igbo Times Magazine and INews. I offer my deepest apology to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, his family, and the public. I admit that the stories I published about Governor Soludo and his son were completely fabricated. They had no basis in fact or credible sources, and I take full responsibility for sharing those false reports and quotations. I also retract other misleading articles involving Governor Soludo and Mr. Peter Obi, which I published in pursuit of online traffic and financial gain. I deeply regret the embarrassment and reputational harm these fabrications caused. I humbly ask for forgiveness and commit to upholding responsible journalism. Please disregard the retracted publications in their entirety.

An apology alone doesn't erase reputational damage; they should outline real steps to prevent repeating this mistake.

A transparent corrections policy on their website and a dedicated fact‐checking team could help restore credibility over time.
