'They Broke In at 3am': Woman Alleges EFCC Arrested Husband in Violent Midnight Raid
Alozie Alicia says EFCC operatives stormed her home around 3 a.m. on July 9, 2026, forcing entry and arresting her husband while she held their three-month-old baby. She alleges over 30 officers searched the house, assaulted both of them, confiscated phones and drove off with their Mercedes-Benz. Videos on her TikTok page show a damaged door and the injuries she says she sustained. After the raid, Alicia visited an EFCC office with a lawyer but was told to return later and still could not learn where her husband was taken. She maintains nothing incriminating was found and fears the car may have prompted the operation. Alicia is appealing to Nigerians and social media influencers to help amplify her story and locate her husband. The EFCC had not responded to requests for comment by press time.
