How I Saved My Struggling Marriage by Changing My Attitude

When I got married, life was full of love. But when my husband’s business began to struggle, I leaned on my wealthy family’s support and became rude and disrespectful. I compared him to others and spoke harshly, failing to appreciate his hard work. His silence and distance left me feeling lonely and suspecting he no longer loved me. Instead of examining my own behavior, I blamed him for our growing conflict. I joined online prayer groups, attended prophetic programs, and prayed for a miracle, but nothing changed. Then a minister pointed out that my insults and pride were wounding him more than any business hardship. I humbled myself, apologized, and began to treat him with respect. Over time our home regained its peace. I learned that prayer alone isn’t enough—love grows with humility, kindness, and understanding. My hope is that other women facing similar struggles will find the same healing by examining their own attitudes.

It seems switching attitude was crucial, but I wonder if relying on your family's wealth might still strain his confidence.

Maybe the real issue wasn't just attitude but the gap created when financial power shifted away from your husband.

Next time, try setting weekly check-ins to share feelings and celebrate small wins without comparing to others.
