IGP Olatunji Disu visited Plateau State on Thursday after reports of unrest. He met with Governor Caleb Muftwang to discuss measures to strengthen security and prevent further disturbances. The police chief authorised the deployment of specialised tactical units. These units will reinforce officers already on the ground across affected localities. Governor Muftwang commended the prompt intervention and praised the dedication of security personnel. He also lauded the leadership of Commissioner of Police Bassey Ewah and the efforts of mobile police units. The Nigeria Police Force and the Plateau State Government reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding lives and property. They stressed that close collaboration remains crucial for lasting peace in the state.
