Nollywood Actor Joseph Momodu Completes US Army Training in Honour of His Late Father
Nollywood actor Joseph Momodu has announced his enlistment in the United States Army, dedicating the milestone to his late father. After 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, he graduated as a Specialist, crediting perseverance, sacrifice and determination for his success. Momodu described the program as one of the most demanding experiences of his life, recalling tears, fatigue, and relentless drills under rain and scorching sun. “I went to sleep a civilian and woke up a soldier,” he wrote, noting that moments of doubt only strengthened his resolve to finish. Picking up where his father left off in the Nigerian Police Force, he now serves with 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, 3-10, 3rd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment. He expressed gratitude to his faith, the US Army recruiting team and supporters who helped him reach this achievement.
