El-Rufai Says He’ll Attend ADC Convention ‘In Spirit’ Despite Court Case

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai says he will join the African Democratic Congress national convention “in spirit” in Abuja. He made the remark after appearing before the Kaduna State High Court on corruption charges filed by the ICPC. Asked whether he would attend the Tuesday event in person, he replied, “I will be there in spirit.” The convention at the Rainbow Event Centre in Area 11 is expected to bring together opposition figures and shape alliances ahead of upcoming elections. El-Rufai’s response underscores his ongoing interest in party affairs, even as legal proceedings may limit his physical participation.
