Apply Now: Lagos Agripreneurship Programme Offers Training, Stipends and Mentorship

The Lagos Agripreneurship Programme trains youths in modern farming across poultry, piggery, aquaculture, vegetable value chains and e-agric systems. Participants join a one-month hands-on training at the Agricultural Training Institute in Araga, Epe, followed by three months of internships and mentorship on commercial farms. An assessment will reward high performers and guide enterprise activation. Graduates earn a ₦15,000 transport allowance after training and ₦20,000 monthly during internship. They also gain access to a network of agripreneurs, practical agribusiness skills and new job opportunities in the food sector. Qualified candidates aged 18–30 with a senior secondary certificate and LASRRA number can apply online. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an aptitude test.

I'm also planning to apply, and I'm most interested in the poultry value chain for solid returns.

I notice the programme covers poultry, piggery, aquaculture, vegetable value chains, and e-agric systems in just one month, and that seems ambitious for hands-on learning.

Stipends sound attractive, but without reliable equipment and consistent support, many graduates might struggle to turn theory into a sustainable agribusiness.

Interested applicants should prepare by sourcing basic farm inputs in advance and lining up local partnerships to maximise the one-month training period.
