Couple Arrested in Edo for Plotting to Sell Sister’s Baby for ₦3 Million

The Idumebo Security Network in Esan Central, Edo State, arrested a Benue woman, Charity Jacob, and her husband, John, after uncovering a plan to sell her sister’s infant for ₦3 million. Security operatives said they acted on a tip about a baby sale negotiation. They raided the scene and detained the couple before any transaction could occur. During questioning, Charity admitted the child belonged to her unaware sister. She confessed that she and her husband had schemed to profit from selling the baby.
