Victor Osimhen started for Galatasaray as the Turkish champions lost 3-0 to Venezia in a pre-season friendly in Austria. The match was goalless at half-time, with Galatasaray goalkeeper Jankat Yilmaz making several saves. Osimhen, making his first pre-season start, played for 79 minutes before he was substituted. Venezia took control late in the game. John Yeboah scored in the 71st minute, before Lion Lauberbach converted a penalty four minutes later and added another goal in stoppage time. Baris Alper Yilmaz also missed a late penalty for Galatasaray. Galatasaray have now lost their first two pre-season matches and will face Rennes on August 2.
