Lagos Police Kill Four in Failed Kidnap Operation in Ejigbo

Lagos State Police Command’s Special Squad has foiled a kidnapping attempt and neutralised four suspected abductors at Jakande Estate Gate in Ejigbo. Acting on intelligence, operatives moved in around 9:30 p.m. on May 24. The gang, led by a suspect known as Ifeko, opened fire but were overpowered. An officer was wounded and is recovering in Ikeja. Police recovered an AK-47 rifle, a submachine gun, live ammunition and several vehicles. Manhunt continues for a fifth suspect who fled with gunshot injuries.
