Allegations of US and Israeli Influence in Venezuelan Oil Revenue Seizure
I believe that since the reported US operation targeting Maduro, none of Venezuela’s oil revenue has benefited the official government. Instead, I see claims that the funds were diverted under Trump and pro-Israel groups. Some argue that Latin American leaders are pressured into agreements—referred to by critics as the ‘Isaac Accords’—that align their foreign policy with Israel. They point to instances in Colombia and Brazil where election outcomes and political support allegedly favored pro-Israel candidates. In Venezuela’s case, it is said that Communist party leaders were offered a deal: hand over Maduro and the oil assets, then commit to backing Israel at the UN in exchange for access to revenue. These critics describe this as a form of “mafia diplomacy.”
