Young Nigerians Call on Tinubu to Resolve Kwara APC Governorship Primary Dispute

At a press conference, the NYC’s president highlighted concerns over the conduct, suspension, and rescheduling of the primary. He said these issues raise broader questions about loyalty, merit, and fairness in the country’s politics. The group praised Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki Gambari for his grassroots service and argued he met the criteria for both consensus and direct primary approaches. It stressed that the process, not just the outcome, must inspire trust among youths nationwide. The NYC appealed to APC leaders at all levels to pursue transparency, reconciliation, and dialogue. It called on stakeholders to rely on lawful dispute resolution and to uphold the principles of legitimate and inclusive democratic participation.
