Three Suspects Arrested Over Attempted Assassination of APC Campaign DG in Osun State
The Osun State Police Command says its operatives have detained three men linked to the bid to kill Hon. Oluwole Oke, Campaign Director General of the APC governorship candidate. Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Gotan disclosed the arrests during a press briefing at the State Police Headquarters in Osogbo, attributing the success to proactive, intelligence-led operations by the Violent Crime Response Unit. The suspects—Olamilekan Oriyomi (24), Ayotunde Ikupolati Ojo (44) and Fakinleye Femi (31)—were apprehended with a Beretta pistol and live rounds. Oriyomi has named an accomplice at large and implicated other figures under investigation. Police assured residents that investigations continue and urged law-abiding citizens to remain calm and share any credible information to help secure the state.
