Glasgow 2026: Ogazi, Udo Reach Men’s 400m Final as Amusan Advances
Samuel Ogazi and Edidiong Udo have qualified for the men’s 400m final at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. Ogazi won the first semifinal in 44.52 seconds, finishing ahead of Botswana’s Lee Eppie and Jamaica’s Zandriom Barnes. Udo clocked 45.53 seconds in the second semifinal and was elevated to second place after Jamaica’s Antonio Watson was disqualified. In the women’s 400m, Patience Okon-George and Esther Joseph finished fifth and sixth in their semifinal, missing out on places in the final. Meanwhile, Tobi Amusan advanced to the women’s 100m hurdles final after winning her heat in 12.19 seconds.
