FG and Lagos State Launch ‘Snacks for Thought’ to Boost Learning with Daily Morning Snacks

FG and Lagos State Launch ‘Snacks for Thought’ to Boost Learning with Daily Morning Snacks — 1 of 2
1 / 2

The Federal Government, in partnership with Lagos State and Conference 57, has unveiled the Adopt-a-School “Snacks for Thought” initiative. It will provide nutritious morning snacks to pupils before classes begin. Under the Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme, the scheme targets child hunger, a known barrier to effective learning. Organisers say it will improve students’ concentration, attendance and overall academic performance. The programme also aims to strengthen local agriculture. Increased demand for food produce will benefit farmers, processors, transporters and small businesses. Through the Adopt-a-School model, companies, philanthropists, alumni networks and community groups can support school feeding. This collaborative approach is designed to ensure transparency, sustainability and wider reach.
